Create a lasting online memorial as part of your aftercare. Once it is ready, you hand it to the family. They take it from there — on their own terms, in their own time.
How it works

Register as a funeral professional and set up the memorial: name, dates, a photograph, a short biography. It takes around ten minutes.

When the memorial is ready, send the family a handover link. They create their own account and become the sole owner of the page.

You have no access to the memorial after handover unless the family chooses to add you. No ongoing responsibility. No data retained on your side.
A private, permanent memorial page where friends and family can leave tributes, share photographs, light a candle, and contribute to a single place — however far apart they are.
The family controls everything: who can contribute, what is published, and who sees the page. Nothing goes live without their approval.
Tributes, photographs, videos, messages, and candles are collected in one place. No social media. No public exposure unless the family chooses it.
Friends and family anywhere in the world can contribute from a phone, without creating an account.
The page belongs to the family. It stays theirs indefinitely.
Your questions, answered
Nothing. Creating a memorial on behalf of a family is free — all features included. Once you hand over, the family can upgrade if they need more storage. There is no invoice to you, and no conversation about money with a grieving family.
When you create a memorial, you are setting up a space on behalf of the family. By doing so, you confirm you have the family's consent. Once ownership transfers, all data responsibility passes to them. Northstar Keep is ICO-registered and operates under UK GDPR.
The memorial stays private and inactive until the family is ready to take it over. There are no automatic emails to the family until you choose to send the handover link.
If a memorial is not claimed within 60 days of creation, we will contact you before taking any action. Nothing is deleted without notice.
